It never snows down there in the foothills of Mount Malvern Rocketdog, you want to come up here in to the snowdrifts.

Wet snow and heavy at 06:00 but it's now just wet here in northumberland. This front is moving very quick south so not sure we will get large accumulations like last time. The temp drop that is following is more interesting. Watch out for ice on your drive/ride home.

Indeed - not stopped snowing since about 7.30. Gone largely slushy now though - grass and roof tops white but the roads and paths covered in slippery brown slop.

Edit- coming down very heavy again - road white over despite gritter having been through twice in the past 10 minutes

Front just rolling through Doncaster now. Gusty and very heavy rain, glad I took the dogs out earlier. Temp was up as far as 9 Cel before, will be a quick drop if the forecast is right.

Just rain in Peterborough.....we will miss it again as usual.

They also have a very nice free iPhone app.

It has a habit of self-destructing unfortunately as after a few uses it seems to lose the ability to use the GPS for location setting.

This'll be the first time I've had to make a long cross country journey with a risk of snow. I think if it looks bad I'll just book more nights in the hotel and keep working until it clears - then take the days off in lieu before Christmas 🙂

yes, 12 wet snowflakes have been seen in sheffield.

they all melted the instant they hit the ground but quick, we must tell the old people so they can panic, and then rush out to buy all the milk, bread and sausages!

Sleet in valley bottom Sheffield, reports of sticking up t'hills.

correction:

'up in(t) hills'

the 't' is silent, but must be hinted at by using a micro-pause.

saying "up t'hills" means 'up to the hills'

i am a pedant.

Rain in Peterborough when I left for work and 7 deg. C.

Don't know how cold it is, but at work in Letchworth it's rainy and the grey clouds are stacking up. Looking very ominous!

Been snowing in my bit of Sheffield for quite a while now - wasn't settling at first but it definitely is now.
How long before the co-op sells out of bread? (if it hasn't already...)
