Spotted a watch on line that I love the design of but it is a 34mm face with a 17mm strap. It's branded as a ladies watch but it looks bloody lovely, it's half price too.
So what do you reckon, is that too small for a 6'4" fella? I do have quite small wrists if that helps? In fact, has any got any pics of smaller watches on male wrists?
The watch I'm wearing today has a 34mm face, but then I don't like massive lumps of metal distorting my posture. I also have smaller watches, and a couple that are a little bigger (but thinner).
About the size of my older Citizen Eco-drive I think...just had a quick look and it's similar to this (says 35mm)

I do have slim wrists (& just under 6ft), the big diver type watches look a bit ridiculous on me. No problem, go for it.
37.5mm is where it's at this year.
Makes the time really come alive.
My ancient Accurist is 38mm (just measured it).
I've got pretty puny wrists and it's about as small as I think I'd want to go.
32mm is too flexi time, 36 more for your extreme timekeeping. 34 makes for an ideal enduro watch
I won't wear anything smaller than 42mm. Anything smaller just looks girly on my wrists.
34mm would look utterly ridiculous.
34mm for a ladies watch? That's huge! (IMHO)
Have a 35mm 18ct gold Longines myself, i like it, couldn't give a sh8T what anyone else thinks.
Depends on the watch. Some will look fine at 34mm, others will look too small. What watch is it?
I'd never thought to measure my watch. Can't stand massive heavy watches as they are just dead-weight on the wrist needed only now and then for what time it is, which is both weightless and invisible.
Good responses all, thanks.

depends on your stature but yeah, nothing wrong with that.
i'm a fairly skinny 6' bloke and my watch is about 31 or 32mm. It looks right for me - I'd look hilarious with a giant breitling attached to my wrist...

I believe 35mm is now the sweetspot if you want to get extreme with your enduro.
Cut a circle of paper 34mm diameter, draw some hour/minute hands on it and stick it to your wrist.
Tarka - the watch looks fine but the wedding ring makes your hand look like a girls!! 😉
Yes it's a little on the small side. 37mm is about as small as a "mans" watch gets if round.
I'm not entirely sure how you measure watches, here's my SPORK on my skinny girly wrist, it's face is 34mm, and the case is 44mm, with a 20mm bracelet.
Personally I think it looks fine, but I love the watch and don't care anyway.

Looks great for a man's watch.
Another Tag Heuer Formula One wearer here. Had it since 1994. Wear it every day for work.
Just measured it - 34mm face, 17mm stainless steel bracelet/strap. It's a perfect size for me, not over keen on the mahoosive watches that are in fashion. I do have fairly small wrists though.
Just measured my Tissot T-race. Face is 31mm ish and, as stated by some above, I like it and don't consider it important to worry about people who may be trying to form opinions about me based on the size of my watch...

don't tell the guys that, some get really conscious about their size.
46mm...

Watch size is usually the diameter of the case without including the bezel.
40mm is fine for me, could prob wear up to 44mm (depending on design).
But some watches give the illusion of being bigger/smaller than their size suggests. Watches have got bigger, but they've also pretty much jumped the fashion/oligarch shark....
