Secondly, it's plastic trying to look like leather (which is an awful material for bar tape), so it looks cheap.

On the right bike it looks fine, you obviously have no taste and probably like instant coffee, that foul lager stuff and cycle in clothes made from awfully common synthetic fibres... I bet you house is floored with linoleum as well. Ghastly oik 🙂

Bar tape. Surely only cloth is acceptable? Classier if 2 rolls used to create diamonds (ie braided).
