I'm no longer receiving deliveries from Evri, this is the fourth one in a row. Once I could believe, twice even but four in a row is not happening.

Of course there's no option to speak to a human.

Just wondered if anyone had ever spoken to one at Evri or had similar issues.

Whilst I do sympathise, I've had more than my share of shit couriers over the years,

It's not your business to be chasing Evri as you do not have a contract with them.  Rather the sender is responsible for safe delivery of a package, it is them who you should be chasing for non-delivery and they in turn should be chasing the courier (or not, this isn't your concern so long as you get your order).

Whoever you gave money to == contract of sale.

We had something similar with whistle (or however they are spelled) and then when some local volunteers were clearing up some waste ground near the house they found several bags of mail... Turns out the delivery driver had just been stashing the bags in the woods

Just luckily no important things came by whistle only various bills !

Thankfully my evri driver for the area seems to be quite good. I think it really does come down to whoever you have as the local delivery agent. We're on first name terms with ours

As Cougar says they aren't your parcels until you have them in your hand. They belong to the retailer up until this point even if you have paid for them.

In the good old days of Wiggle, our Evri driver was almost part of the family !!

I can believe it.  My son's bike was stolen from the front of his house. Neighbour CCTV showed it was a delivery driver who stole it and a child's bike from another garden.

Our Evri drivers is pretty reliable other than dropping parcels on the step without knocking the door. Luckily theft is not an issue here.

So I'm drawing a bit of a blank here.

I'd like to get myself out of this pickle but as Evri just don't care is the Police the next option or will they care less?

As Cougar says, the seller is the first option, possibly followed by your credit card company. Simply put, Evri aren't stealing YOUR parcels, they're stealing the seller's.

More likely it's squashed behind something in a warehouse or traveling around the country in a van with more deliveries than time.

Delivery agreement contact is with the sender so you need to go back to source. If Evri can't locate it they will refund the sender who will then be able to refund you if they were a seller.

i got onto evri chat last weekend, nothing changed, got onto it again, but the chat was ending so i opted for not finished, and options came up for  a phone call or email. I chose email, got  a reply soon, was promised (by claire) shed look into  and reply by 10am, she didnt, so i did,now she says she'll find it by monday.

So get them to call  you

and when i got home yesterday, a different parcel had been thrown  over the fence into my garden. and it was the wrong size!

So if evri arent stealing my parcels, i still dont have what i paid for.

and i better get onto the seller

You read my post directly after your OP and are drawing a blank? 🤷‍♂️

You're missing the point. The issue remains. It's not about who's responsible for what.

'm covered by distance selling regs. All the purchases are guaranteed to be reimbursed. Rather it's the fact I'm not receiving any parcels at all and there's no recourse with Evri just and endless loop of chatbot.

The courier can act with impudence with no accountability.

Don’t stress over something that isn’t your problem. Let the retailer deal with the issue. It’s their issue and not yours.

As others have said it's annoying but the sellers problem.

If you want to find out what's happening to your parcels, post yourself an Airtag and see where it ends up.

Have you tried asking your neighbours whether they are having the same issue? If yes then I would be contacting the Police.

My house is the first in my cul-de-sac. I had an Evri parcel for something I had ordered left on the doormat today. I was alerted by my Ring doorbell and went to the door just in time to see the courier driving away.

As well as my parcel there were two others for neighbours. I went and delivered them. Both were in and answered their doors promptly. Small problem compared to the OP's but pretty crazy.

Of course it is.  Who else are you going to blame, Santa Claus?

Distance selling regs hasn't existed for about ten years so this is unlikely.

The courier is accountable to the goods' supplier(s).  You know, the people who paid Evri to deliver them.

I understand your frustrations.  I've done this dance with Yodel, only I did eventually get to speak to someone (through email via Twitter) and they at least claimed to take it seriously.  Nothing changed.

It’s the OP’s problem in that they’ve bought stuff because they want said stuff.

The fact it’s not arriving is the issue here not the refund part. Maybe think about the big picture occasionally.

We had a problem with Evri for a few months where the local delivery driver had an argument with one of our neighbours and then refused to deliver to any of us on the track. We all tried escalating to higher tiers but nothing was done .He used all sorts of excuses about access being denied etc. Ever since then his replacements have been fine.

You've paid the seller to deliver stuff to you. You haven't received it. That's for the seller to sort out. Who they choose to do the delivery is up to them. You don't know where the problem actually is - the seller might not have passed them to Evri.

The only person with leverage over Evri is the seller. They pay Evri to deliver to you. If Evri fail, they can use a different courier. But they can only do that if you tell them you're not getting the delivery. You can put pressure in them, you are their customer. They can put pressure on Evri, they are Evri's customer.

from the drivers point of view he’s winning. Parcels got delivered, he saved 5 mins…

Yes, he didn't even bother ringing my doorbell - I just got the "There's someone at your front door" alert on my phone.

If I was having the issues the OP is and really needed whatever had been ordered I would try specifying a drop of point like a local shop and seeing if that works.

The recourse is and can only ever be via the retailer. The fact that people* seem to take it upon themselves to get involved in manually investigating and unpicking local delivery agents mess, the retailers have no motivation to switch to a better service.

complain to the retailer, they’ll re-send. If they keep sending via that courier and it keeps going missing, the retailer will take action and the courier company will start to feel some impact

every time someone on Facebook posts “anyone recognise this front door it’s not mine (angry emoji)” then goes on some

online rampage to discover who’s “stolen” their temu junk, that’s Evri profiting.

*.(not just the OP, if our local FB page is anything to go by it’s a common thing)

The way I read/interpreted the OP ,is that if the sellers have all been different individuals/companies, then the common denominator here looks like an Evri driver (for whatever reasons) not delivering the items. You would think that there should be a better way of red flagging this ,for both the seller and buyer.

BTW,On Evri, what happens to the tracking on lost/undelivered parcels, does it just freeze on 'Tracking available'

9 days later 'I must advise you that it is potentially lost in our network.'

This is still the message on evri site since last saturday - '

Update on your parcel

We're sorry, we were unable to deliver your parcel today. We'll try again on the next working day'

I'll email back and find out if Claire is really a robot

You know you're going to get two of what you ordered, right?

Either that or none.  But one is vanishingly unlikely. 😁

Good luck.

Worst thing is when the courier swears blind that it's been delivered, when it hasn't. Then your seller has nothing to go on but the couriers word. And you have to do a chargeback and potentially get banned from making purchases from the seller.

dont bother trying to contact Evri.

Give the seller a hard time over it. Its the only way to get them to choose a more reliable courier!

And if you end up with two of the same item, keep them both. Their choice of courier isnt your problem.

When it becomes a financial issue for them, they'll change their courier.
