We ordered a new computer from John Lewis to be delivered to work for ease of delivery. Office open 8.30 am till late. Tracked it on the web site which said they had tried to deliver it at 9.28am but no one was in, didn't leave a card. Rang them and explained that they must have got it wrong as the office was open and reception always manned and they could leave it at any time in the next office, security company, which is open 24 hours. They wouldnt believe me and said they always attempt to deliver. Finally turned up last Tuesday, 5 days later. Delivery guy said they always leave a card but sometimes dont deliver if they aren't in the area.
