Yup, was just an advisory thing, I clicked on the "dismiss" button.

Not an "issue" though, just a one liner banner message at the top, all gmail functionality working as per normal.

Hmmm - I was asked to replace my password as there had been suspicious activity on my account 🙁

Ah, different thang then, I just had a message in a "lock your doors there are crooks about" style.

I had someone in the states hack in to my account a couple of weeks ago. Followed all of Googles advice (there should be an activity log at the foot of the page)

For some reason my gmail won't work in Chrome at work. How odd.

There's a few spam "change your Gmail password" emails floating around. Make sure you don't click on any links. If you need to change your password, do it from your Google account settings.

This. The "suspicious activity" emails are almost certainly fraudulent.

Yeah activity log all normal so?

My IMAP access had stopped working which is why I logged in to check - so it was not via a dodgy email 🙂
