I don't have access to the laptop that all my current ipod tunes were stored on / downloaded from.

If I do a new iplayer account 'thingy' on my computer at work (told you I have no idea about this) and download tracks then sync how do I stop all the stuff I currently have on my ipod being wiped off.

When you open itunes and it picks up your ipod, look on the options panel, click on the bottom one 'Manually manage music and videos".

I'd sort it out later on my Mac, but if your PC formatted ipod any my laptop meet, it could lead to an incident similar to the streams being crossed on Ghostbusters
