Anyone bought any goods from German, French or Spanish ebay this year ? Hard to figure what's going on with VAT, appears ebay might collect it at the point of sale. Looking to purchase a new wetsuit from Germany - £240.

I suspect you need this thread, there may have been others, even gifts have import duty applied to them, so unlikely to be handled at source:
