In fact that was too harsh , you probably voted and lost then decide to sign a petition about how it’s so wrong.

Which is still more constructive than the entire department for leaving the EU.

If you are isolated enough that it will not impact you then **** off and let those of us who will be impacted get involved.

I DONT actually give a toss what YOU do , it won’t affect me or have a knock on effect

Him individually, no. But us collectively, yes, it will affect you a lot.

But no in the usual British way instead of getting on with it you now have two tribes **** it up for everyone

I have picked my side. It’s the one with free movement and all that jazz.

as Farage stated before the vote that a loss would not stop the battle it would just be a setback. That is all this is for me. We will come full circle in time. Until that time I will remain in the highly skilled class and have secured a European passport to insulate myself should I need to.

this country will only succeed if we go back to being outward looking. Hiding away behind the water pretending the world has not moved on won’t work.

I DONT actually give a toss what YOU do

If that's the case, why do you want us to:

get over it.

...

Vote with your feet.

...

pick a side and if you don’t like it **** off to where you fancy living

And probably others if I look further back. For someone who doesn't give a toss what anyone else does, you're rather fond of telling them what to do.

And as for the latter point, I quite like living here, thanks very much.  I fail to see why I should move house because someone else wants to set fire to the one I'm currently living in.  Arrogant much?

It's just more tedious Brexiter lashing out. It's all the fault of the EU, or remoaners, or foreigners, or...... well, anyone but 'me'.

I'm more than happy to get behind a coherent and sensible plan that delivers a Brexit that is not damaging to the country. I'm even putting to one side all the affirmation of insularity that it will entail, I'm talking economics only (and forgetting all the nasty political stuff) - to keep it easy.

So, Phil. Where's the plan? What am I 'getting behind'? How can I help in a meaningful way? I'm raring to go here, because negativity (justified or not) is wearisome and I fancy a change - so here's the big chance - unveil the brilliant plan.........

What am I ‘getting behind’?

A fantastic opportunity.  It will be solved by a technological solution.  I wont bore you with the details but its going to be great.  You just need to stop being so obstructive and support this amazing solution.  The fine details will be worked out by 2020, but you wont want to hear about all the expert babble.. just that it will be a Brexit for the people...

Now fall in line you traitors and get behind this thing....

His plan is for us to all "get behind" something, though the tories haven't quite decided what it is yet. Not Chequers apparently. We all voted for it 2 years ago though. If only we hadn't been stopping it happening by whinging on the forum it would have been sorted out long ago.

When we apply to rejoin the EU, do you think they’ll insist on us joining the group euro and do you reckon we’ll get to keep the special reduce club subs Thatcher negotiated?

Answers on a postcard boys and girls...

Yeah, except I can't cos the ****ers have taken that right away from us! Well they are in the process of doing so. Which is unfortunate as I'm sort of stuck here until my brexity relatives die.

Frankly given the choice between being ruled by the European superstate and the shower of shit that's currently in charge it's not really much of a contest is it?

The same rules will apply as for everyone else; they can insist on an eventual transition to the Euro, at some indeterminate point in the future,

Your problems not mine you chose to live with dumb people who got led up the garden path but your yet another who sits around waiting for someone to save you or lead you

You have the power to stop it yet would rather just sit watch it unravel and then blame everyone else

Get off your arse man organise a protest cause some unrest , you never know you might be the hero that's quoted years from now as the person who started the fight back.

But then it's easier to sit back and relax ain't it.

Me my plans don't involve Europe but don't feel too bad, I won't be stuck in this shithole when it goes south.

Get off your arse man organise a protest

Hang on, I thought you wanted me to get over it. Which is it?

There's plenty of protests being organised, all the time. And you have no idea what I have or haven't done.

I won’t be stuck in this shithole when it goes south.

Ah, there we are. I'm alright Jack, bollocks to the rest of you. You'd make a fine Tory politician.

Those people are exceptional people.  Not everyone is like that of course, by definition.  So to sit back and say 'well you didn't start a revolution so tough' that's just peurile.  And shows you aren't thinking, and just don't give a crap anyway.

but your yet another

Jesus H Christ. It is “you’re”, man. This work you had to go to, it wasn’t teaching English was it?

I also hope it wasn’t project management. “Right, folks, I’ve got this really ace project. Well, it’s actually a shit idea that’s going to make most people’s lives a fair bit worse, but we’ve got to just ignore that and crack on with it. What’s that? A project plan? Nah, you’ve just got to believe it guys”.

So, Phil, what is this plan I’m suspending all my cynicism to get involved with? I really want to believe in you here, fella, so hit me with it.......

And if we can avoid the distractions on the thread for a second, it seems May is now going for a (not 'the' :D) customs union backstop with an indeterminate end point.

It's the only way to get around the Irish border issue and will prevent a crash out with no deal and stand a chance of being ratified by Parliament.

But then everyone already knew that anyway. Every time the can gets kicked the argument for leaving only gets weaker. Not that there was an argument in the first place, bad choice of words. Appetite might be a better word.

Matty - still will be unacceptable to the EU.  The irish border backstop needs for NI to be in full regulatory alignment until another solution is found.  A time limited solution has been categorically ruled out.

And Corbyn made this possible for her with his pronouncements at the Labour conference. He said he'll whip to support "a" Customs Union… and, yes, full regulatory alignment until a new deal replaces the backstop (no other time limit). Still paying in as well, just no CAP contributions, etc. May has been carefull to say current size of payments is a redline, not payments in principle. Will MPs (of both parties) play along though? Many will not, but how many? And will they start new parties?

From what I can tell, May is walking the line and is saying that UK will be in full regulatory alignment with the CU/SM for an indeterminate period. That will keep the Irish happy as it won't mean different rules for NI.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, blue and red politicians are being as ambiguous as they possibly can at the moment for fear of losing face to those that might unseat them..

.. Slowly but surely reality is setting in, the speed it setts in is different between the electorate, the tabloids and the MPs, but reality is starting to dawn.

So confirmed. Vote Leave broke the law, and the Electoral Commission mishandled the referendum.

https://goodlawproject.org/another-defeat-electoral-commission/

Will make no difference to anything but hey.

Brexit set to hit poorly educated men most, says IFS

Yeah but........sovereignty, taking back control, faceless eurocrats, unelected officials, our own laws and regulations, Britain for the British/English, we want out, brexit means brexit means absolutely ****-all apart from a meaningless soundbite thought up by a 21 year old **** with a politics and social studies degree and anyone who voted leave for the above reasons needs taken outside and lobotomised to prevent them from ever voting again........... and i'd line up phillxx1975 for special attention, no justifiable reason - he just irkes me and in the mood i'm in at the moment i'd quite happily wield and apply the knitting needle to anyone that crosses my path.
