Anyway - last week Wifey headed back home as her Da was having a major op for cancer. I took week off work to mind kids. Managed to get a biking blip last week and headed to the hills - on Thurs eve collected the kids and headed home. I've a new IX35 SUV bought about 8 months ago.
On Fri morn early hours some SCUMBAG ****s entered my house (while we were sleeping) and took my car keys, wallet and made off with my new car - with my kit in the boot! All my best gear in my royal racing holdall bag (keep it all together for ease). Wasn't until I sat down and estimated the cost up the robbed biking gear I realised it was the guts of 1,000 euro (bell super helmet, merino jerseys, shimano shoes, 2 osprey packs, 2 multi tools, shock pump/ 2 normal pumps, spares, jersey, shorts, gloves, gore path raincoat) car insurance covered for new car but only €400 for contents.

Even though I've a few spare bits the moral of the storey is - don't leave your good gear in the trunk of your car after a spin even for over night. I'd sat the car has been stripped and my gear dumped 🙁

guess on the bright side they never took my BronsonC that was locked in the dining room .......seems the new car is what the ****tards wanted!

Oh, thanks for the PSA, a warning to all i think. Oh and the use of the pikey word doesn't go down well round here.

Sorry - still in a rage. The Police are aware of the 'gang' knocking off houses and new cars.

do you have unspecified personal possesions (cover for items away from your home) on your home insurance? might be worth checking. Could potentially be covered possibly as car was outside the home even if you don't, dependent on their policy criteria. Give em a ring.

Saturday my dad died unexpectedly, Sunday my wife was involved in a car crash with babybgoode in the car (both shaken but not hurt thankfully) and Monday I end up in hospital with meningitis.

Anyone else want to join in?!

Flipping hell Dan! Beats my MIL staying for 5 days followed by 14 month old daughter having her 2nd plastic surgery op, no sleep for 2 days sitting it out in hospital.
