Hi,

Does anyone know whether it would be possible to transfer your C2W loan agreement to a new employer when changing jobs?

I am keen to buy a new bike on the scheme but not sure whether I will be sticking with my company for the next 10 months (i.e. end of C2W loan agreement period). Don't particularly like the idea of having to stump up cash up front to pay off the bike if I leave!

Thanks!

dont think so. I understand the bike is the property of the employer and they lease it to you. If you leave its pay up time. Check the scheme rules on the website as they all differ though.

I signed up for c2w last year with my employer, on December 1st.
They made me redundant on the 11th....buggers
My 2cw voucher arrived mid Jan for £1k....
Its sat here winking at me....

Im thinking about buying a £100 bike to use and then splashing out on accessories like new Troy Lee D3 helmet & some POC body armour for the megavalanche.
Surely they wouldnt want used clothes & helmet back would they!?

hmmmm.......

The bike/parts/whatever are your employer's property. When you finish the 12/18 month rental period, they, if they decide can sell you the "bike" for an acceptable market value. The tax people usually accept this as 10% of original market cost. A lot of people forget this when they say "ooh I can buy a bike with 50% off. Forgetting that they are obliged to sell you the bike at the end of the rental period. Maybe they can construct your particular contract to include your "B2W" payments as part of your package?

Pay off in full if you leave.
