where does this expresiion come from? Did Jesus creep around?
😯
your head? I've never heard of it!
new one on me......now Creaming Jesus..were an ace band 😀
never heard it either
hah! thought it was creeping Moses.
Probably all that sneaking around, trying to catch folk at home and proselytising to the unconverted.
do you mean jesus creepers?
googles says
jesus creepers:
Old looking Leather sandles, often with left over sand in them from previous vacations.
do you mean jeepers creepers or jesus cheesers?
I've not heard that one for a long time. My mum used to say it when referring to a bloke in my dad's pool team.
He looked like Jesus but was older and had a limp.
straight from the horses mouth...
What is?
He probably means keeping cheeses...
Blessed are the cheesemakers
Creaming Jesus, had a great t-shirt I got at one of their gigs. Loudest gig I've ever been to, ears ringing for days!
It's Jesus boots, not Jesus creepers.
Mogrim was it the "skin up 4 jesus" one? I've still got one, and the little voodoo effigy crucified punk puppet 😀
Christ on a bendy bus, what a stupid question! 😀
(I've no idea btw.)
from Google Images when i typed in creeping jesus:
and from Wiki
Creeping Jesus is a Hiberno-English term, originally used derogatively, to describe a Roman Catholic seeking to make a public display of religiosity in a manner which seems hypocritical and simply for show

The Scottish equivalent is Holy Willie
I did not know that. It's also the name of a slightly bold climb at Pex Hill, traditionally soloed. In my mind it was some sort of profanity from the first ascensionist as his foot crept off a sloper 🙂
