Found this yesterday morning on the drive.
Big Red takes out a curly shelled snail! Never seen this before and Big Red appeared to be getting stuck in, devouring the snail.

Anyone know if this is usual behaviour from a Big Red?
Doesn't surprise me, they'll eat anything, particularly good at clearing up dog eggs.
I saw a centipede with a baby slug in its chompers last night too.
We need more hedgehogs as becoming overrun with slugs , too many patio's and not enough hedges for the hogs.
When slugs aren't devouring our crops they moonlight as waste disposal experts.
Wouldn't have thought it actually assaulted the snail in order to devour it, merely taking advantage of an earlier kill/maim/flesh wound from an incomplete bird attack or a clumsy foot. I have a piccie of two slugs devouring a worm in a weird tug-of-war type scenerio...
