im on a ban
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
There was a fire there a couple of years ago, all of ponty smelt like haribo, it was awesome!
O.M and indeed G! what a colourful place to work!
The sweets are then coated and dropped via a special shoot through the floor
Good to see the Telegraph following in the footsteps of the Grauniad's legendary typesetting.
If you work in the Haribo factory in Pontefract, Yorkshire, you are allowed to eat as many sweets as you like
ZOMG etc. Probably a reasonable policy, after a week you'd be sick of the sight of the things.

Typesetting looks fine to me. Did you mean copy/sub-editing? tsk.
trust me, working in a sweet factory isn't all its cracked up to be...
although i never did get sick of M&S sherbert lemons!
I worked in the Ernest Jackson factory in Crediton. Fishermans Friend will never pass my lips again.
I regularly pass the Swizzels Matlow factory in New Mills - smells better some days than others.....
if the staff can eat as many as they like, just think how fast production must be, purely powered by the sugar rush!!!
I'm going there on Friday, I'll report back on my findings.

Hopefully not during production~

I probably did. Though I'm not writing professionally so shouldn't be expected to meet the same standards, no?
I wouldn't generally pick up on a grammatical / spelling mistake on a personal website or to make a cheap ad hominem attack on a forum, however from a professional publication they should be proof reading before they publish.
*passes out with excitement*
I don't think I could actually work there, you'd have to roll me out by the end of the week. LOL
My Uncle works at Swizzels in New Mills and they have the same policy. Eat as much as you want in there but you can't take anything out.
I show you paradise and you throw handbags about spurlink and grammer?
*flounces*
are the tangfastics in a secret room?
need pictures of sour sugary dippage
nom, nom
Surprising amount of manual work there.
Moving the sweets around in crates etc rather than by machine.
I guess it's the cheapest way.
are the tangfastics in a secret room?
They can't show them as they are dipped in cocaine. It's the only way to explain how morish they are.
My youngest won a competition to be sweet factory manager for the day at the Haribo factory a few years ago. Got a tour of the factory, helped make the sweets and even had her design of sweet made. Came home with about 5 boxes of her own "fly" sweet and a years supply of Haribo. Mmmmm Haribo! Real nice people at the factory though, made a little girls dreams come true.
They have a great factory shop..
It's Haribo Heaven make no mistake.. 🙂
My brother's working there at the moment installing all the pipe work for a new production line so they can make even more of the lovely gelatinous chewy delights!!
Strangely no shots of the lorry loads of sugar going into all the sweets... 🙂
Anyone know why the deuce Barbie Haribo aren't avaliable in GB?
I discovered them in Spain and reckon they're the best. Felt a bit stoopid buying them though...

Mate's dad used to work at the now sadly defunct Wilsons brewery in Manchester.
Could drink as much as he liked during work hours, but could be sacked for being drunk on the job!
A bag of haribo a day, keeps the doctor away
you go straight to the morgue instead!
Love the new aliens!
Riding along one day in the Peak District, smell a familiar smell.. what's that? I know that.. wait.. it's Swizzles!
Turned around the corner, Swizzles factory. Ace.
