Just cooked up some halibut Mrs P bought at the fish shop today, was tasty enough. Then she told me what it blingin cost, £28 a kilo! So we had a £10 fillet each, good lord that's expensive!

Is that an average price for this or was she fleeced?

How big/heavy were those fillets?

You would be better off buying whole rather than filleted as that would be much more expensive.

Yes, halibut is expensive alright.

Sounds quite expensive IMO
Where are you located? If near London try to get to Billingsgate, lots of very cheap fish. We fill up the freezer about once a month.

For 600g that is bleeding expensive. Fish market might be the answer.
