A freind is currently pursueing an injury claim , been going on for a year, the award is from 15 to 20 k, so what does the solicitor make, just curious like.

Depends whether it goes to Court or not. If no, the solicitor has a fixed fee. If yes, then it goes up like a rocket. I got 7.5k after being squashed by a car, wouldn't surprise me if the solicitor got 15-20k.
