Has anybody had one of these- thinking very seriously about getting one. I suppose what I want to know the most is how comfortable they are- are they as compliant as, say, a carbon frame?

Awesome bike, but will always depend upon what you ride and very much how you ride.

Test rode the carbon at LQ on the LLakes demo day, it flies through everything, singletrack was so much more fun on this, descending was a different ball game, i ride a nomad at the moment and going from that to this was a shock to the system, it focused the mind.

Don't get a nomad it's way way over kill for the UK.

I am on to my second ARC, they live up to hype in my opinion. Race light frame, the geometry is relaxed enough for epic rides. I have only ever seen one other yeti out on the trails. I think they are like marmite tho you either love them or hate them.

Mike T is bang on the Nomad is overkill for the UK, Mike try the new Blur LT its sublime. As for the ARC well its a real mountain bikers bike, beautifully engineered with over 2 decades of development the guys at Yeti Cycles know there stuff, as some folk have mentioned though not everyone's cuppa. I have the ARC TI and it just blows my mind every time I ride it, get a good honest test ride before you part with your hard earned cash and good luck. Clive - www.mtbskills.eu
