Am I too late already? <Searches for Stu's post....>
Anyway. I give you Ben MacDui....
and Etchachan
Currently en route to Torridon for a climb, and hopefully a lolly.
Second outing for this photo...but finished a job today so got a little local ride in early afternoon.
Then home for some Dank AF IPA.

Quick spin out to the North Downs Way before the family woke up. Perfect and much needed after a busy week.

Three day road trip this weekend, so far hebden bridge to reeth via cock hill, Ilkley moor, park rash and some other mist shrouded hill.

Not very impressive pics, weather is a bit bleak. Today so far reeth to hawes via tan hill and buttertubs, next up fleet moss, not looking forward to that one though!
An “Epic” 4hr training ride in what I suspect is the last of the dry trails. Storms and rain inbound

Barely worth a picture but at least I finally left the house after 8 hours of moping around.
Yes, my socks match my frame. Totally unintentional.
We stopped off in France on our way down to Finale.
Used Trailforks and spent the day in the hills above the campsite before returning via the lakeside.

Glorious day at Laggan. Temperature inversion to start with (lower red top was just over the cloud) and 20*c by the end of the day.
Eventfull for us in mrs_oab crashing, and my new bike picking up enthusiastic riding pinch punctures. Twice.

Just a sweaty half hour in the pain cave tonight. Need a fan. Was hoping to go over to Leamington tomorrow with my son but looks like it's heavy rain all day

^ where dat @singlepeedstu?
Watched a DH race today.
At one point 7 riders in a row failed to negotiate the rocky chute we were at. No major injuries fortunately.
I did use race tape to tie a brake lever to a bar at one point though.

Was hoping to go over to Leamington tomorrow with my son but looks like it’s heavy rain all day
Well it definitely is at this moment 8.30.
Wangin it down.
Lovely up here in the Peak District today ? Managed to have two silly crashes resulting in a busted shifter and busted thumb. So an early exit from the organised event and roll home, now having a word with myself.

Spent a day filming a video of an "intro to gravel" day by wildcycles.cc amazingly satisfying watching complete beginners to off road riding improve so much over the course of the 6 hours we were out. Very inspiring by the enthusiasm and comaradery of the riders, they met for the first time on friday evening and within an hour it seemed like they had known each other for years. The sheer amount of support they gave each other throughout the day was awesome to see.
Yesterday was my first NBD since 2018. Took the new beast out round my local woods to get to know it and to make tweaks to the bars and controls etc.
It climbs really well; needs some work to get the back end better on the downs but it feels fast and fits like a glove.
Saw two sparrowhawks and a a Great Egret (which is a first for me).

It only rained for a brief spell, but the ground in the Chilterns is getting progressively more wet.

Went up a local volcano today, was a bit of a n epic, legs are empty. Yesterday was a pedal home across the hills

Gorgeous day on Rathlin
Rathlin looks nice!
Yesterday was tan hill, buttertubs and fleet moss then over the moor to malham YH, in weather that swung from cold and dank to sunny and warm. Today was home to hebden by gargrave, Colne and widdop, dank and windy.

Got to be said that the weather down south looks rancid. smiley.
Torripop yesterday.
Gorgeous.
Got to admit I wasn't that taken by the riding on upper Coire Lair. Great views
but the trail isn't a patch on the classic Achnaschellach descent.
Just managed to get Annat done as it got dark.
It's grim up North (Midlands)

We arrived in Finale this afternoon after a six hour drive from the Southern Alps.
With tomorrow's forcast looking a bit wet we decided to make the most of it and did 20 miles on the trails. Some old and some new. Ready for beer and pizza

Southern Spain.
Up in the mountains above Orgiva.
No riding pics from today for me as I've been nursing a slashed rear tyre round and had other things on my mind.
@rocketdog was that with John Heard
A group of us did the King Alfred Way with Wild Cycles this summer
As predicted today was sketchy at the Bolly Skyline enduro. Stages 6/7/8 cancelled due to conditions but still slid our way down the rest!

Was all set for the last weekend of Summer riding weather with the uplift booked for Forest of Ae on Sunday. Received a very apologetic call from Adrenaline Uplift on Friday, informing me that the bus wouldn't be running, as I was the only person booked on. Never mind, thought I: Dunkeld four hills epic it is. Then I wake up on Saturday with a suspiciously bullseye-shaped welt on my left forearm, exactly 1 week after riding in Tick-Vegas (Aberfoyle). Been having intermittent fever and chills ever since.
WELP...
Really glad to see NW Scotland getting some decent weather! Deserves it up there given how bloody awful is has been all the rest of the summer.
Here in Yorkshire it's been reality of autumn day for me.
Went to some woods up in some hills not far away. Started dry, trails running great - dry and grippy. Started raining a bit. I kept going. Then it started raining a lot.
But I was determined to get a full 1000m climbing in. Sniper roots everywhere by the end... grip diminishing and lots of sketchy moments.
Really glad I got out, but weather looks pretty shit here on in 🙁

'far side' of Stainburn? Get used to the slip and slide, its in for the long haul now!
Quick loop of the local forest trail, possibly the last warm & sunny weekend of summer?

Some 'work' in Castilla La Mancha on Friday

Vulture (Gryphon) waiting for one of the Brits to die
