It's been done before - and if you think winter tyres would actually have helped in that situation, then you don't understand the issues with driving on winter roads and what winter tyres do quite as well as you think you do.
Well I just finally managed to order some auto socks and a snow shovel. I hope they come by Monday. Will hopefully take some stress out of driving ATM
Only thing that would have helped on there is studded tyres.
However they didn't exactly help themselves by braking where they did, not that it would likely have changed the outcome.
Although they are idiots for abandoning the car, unless they were about to go over a cliff
If i was surrounded by a big metal box, secured with a seat belt and the possibility of an air bag, I'd not be wanting to get out my car while it slides
