I would assume nothing, it's just to make the tyres sound fancy.

....or to get people asking what it means on a public forum, thus publicising them.

That Brant is a friggin' marketing genius!

Ahhh, looking at the On-One page the full name is 'B.S.C. Type 1', so it looks like nealglover got it- Bristol Stool Chart. So, maybe if you use these tyres you'll be 'hard to pass'?

From £49.99.

Just finding out why the content for these tyres aren't on the website.
They are a Vee Rubber tyre they have let us rebrand.
BSC is indeed "Bristol Stool Chart".
The 26in tyres are 3.5in Fatty "slicks".
The 29in ones aren't, and should be £19.99 not £49.99. Price will be updated shortly.

In relation to bikes, BSC is usually British Standard Cycle - it's a thread standard for things like bottom brackets, screw-on freewheels, crank threads etc. Diameters differ but usually 24TPI (threads per inch).

It's also known as a BSA thread and is bascially the standard ISO bottom bracket thread.

In this case it's poo consistency related 😉

My fat franks should last for a while yet, but if anyone gets the 29ers and could post weight and mounted width, that would be ace.

Brant - the 29 description looks to be wrong - 3.50 XC?! £19.99 for a 29er fat tyre...
