Has anyone got any opinions of the Trek District as a a commuter bike?

I live in Sheffield and will be commuting to Manchester on the train and like the look of the District just wondered of anyone had any views on it or could recommend something else.

Cheers

Ive been using a Trek Soho S for a year now and not had a problem with it, seems the same apart from belt drive and fakenger chique. Light and fast enough but never had any road type bike before, gets up anyting you have the legs for and seems stable at speed. Just seems to fit even and its comfy though it looks big compared to my MTB.

*cough* Mines going up for sale (big size) as Ive now moved house to the top of a big hill. */cough*

If you're going to be leaving it at the station all day then buy something you won't mind losing.

District might be a bit too nice to be stolen!

It won't be left at the station as I need it to get across Manchester to work, I really like the look of it, just after some more info on it
