Sunday 4th September.
Trailquest in and around the Wyre Forest on the Worcestershire/Shropshire border.
http://www.midlandtrailquests.co.uk/events-and-results/event-details.php?e=137

Starting at Far Forest Scout & Guide HQ, you will be given a marked A4 size 1:50k OS map and have 3 hours to visit as many control points as possible.
All the CPs are on lanes or bridleways. The navigation is easy, it's the route planning that makes the difference.

Not much rain here recently, all the trails are dry and fast.
If you've never done one before, just turn up on the day, let me know how far you think you can ride in 3 hours, and I'll help you plan a route.

You must be a member of Midland Trailquests to take part.
Membership is free and never needs renewing.

On line entry closes at midnight tonight.
You can enter on the day, as long as you are registered, but it costs more.

Sorry Graham, doing the Kielder100 this weekend or I'd be up for it.

I know it's a good riding area, and it should be a cracking event - good luck with it.

Very well.
42 people entered in total and we raised over £250 for the scouts & guides.

As you can see, I sent them all the way from Dunley to Kinlet and over the river and up to Shatterford.

Looks a good quality map. On ours we usually have the control descriptions in 'call out' boxes near the control. That way, no need for separate descriptions. Can struggle for space though.
Nationals this weekend near Coniston - quality riding there!
