I have two bikes with PF92 Bottom Bracket Standards - I dont particularly suffer as much as some (who would rather give up their born than use a pressfit BB again), but the bog standard Shimano M8000 push in plastic cups and bearings tend to last me a year or so, and eventually they do start giving the very first signs of movement/creaking...Â
These Token Ninja BBs screw together like the Wheels Manufacturing replacement does, but lots cheaper. They even do a reasonably affordable ceramic bearing version. Hope dont seem to do a variant in the MTB BB92 size. No new or special tool is needed.Â

Sorry, can't answer this - but I've recently got an older bike with PF30 and I've been looking at converting it to threaded. I thought this might be asking the same.
Anyway, I don't think that's an option with PF92 unfortunately?
Have a wheels mfg threadfit on my road bike which has been faultless over 2 years and a few thousand km.
When I was looking the token ones seemed to find less favour as the outer lip the bb tool needs to grip is very thin, and I think may have come with it's own odd variation, and think token either provide or you need to buy.
Wheels mfg are "standard" shimano ( tho i can't remember which shimano standard)
IME a regular Token PF BB didnt last very well, but then wheels manufacturing ones have got very expensive
A riding buddy fits & uses them regularly on road bikes to replace stock ones, particularly if the stock ones have flogged out a bit (he repairs carbon frames as a sideline and usually fits these) and he rates them in that application.
I went for Wheels Mfg on my Yeti ARC but mainly due to stock availability at the time and being impatient!
I've used a couple on cross bikes - they've been fine, no creaks. Simple to fit although susepic is right that it's quite a thin surface for the tool to grip, and it's not the same diameter as a shimano ht.
Bearing life is hard to say, they get hammered in cross season but every bb does. Reckon they'd be fine on a mtb.
