That floating notifications thing is because you have an unread message.

Check the Notifications bit in your Profile too?

Whenever I've had that I just had to.make sure I'd cleared the Notification and read the Message.

I honestly can't believe we're still seeing "Wordl" all over the forum!

What are all these VERY LARGE symbols that appear when you scroll down to the bottom of a thread?

I don't have those symbols. What OS/browser are you using?

How does one actually message a fellow forum user?

I'd naively assume that I'd go to their profile and there'd be a link or, failing that, go to messages and type their username. Unfortunately neither option appears to be possible, what witchcraft am I missing now?

Yes and it looks like it works for me.

Message link in classifieds, the lack of which I moaned about last week seems to be back too.

Thread photos still seem very broken though (click on the last, or probably any, photo in a thread, get transported to a gallery of the first few).

Just noticed that STW is very memory greedy again. My browser tells me 1.9 giga. Other sites don't do this.

@Mark - I've mentioned it in this thread before and I've emailed support_at_myezrewards (with no reply).

I can't access member discounts - this predates the update, I've never been able to. This is what happens EVERY time. Slightly frustrating having been a paid up member for a while now.

Any idea? Thanks

Classified ads, when marked as sold, only show as sold if someone opens the ad and scrolls to the bottom, under the Singletrack Wordl banner, where a little hard to read white on yellow band appears. Not great. So if you've sold a classified ad, best to change the title, to say it's SOLD, so as not waste folks' time opening it to maybe find out that info... 😀

Ignore

Don't worry - I think STW towers have stopped monitoring this thread now as nothing gets commented on or fixed.

Is it safe to come back here yet (and re-subscribe)?

Pretty much abandoned the forum since it imploded at beginning of the year and my sub expired.

Have dipped in a few times since but there always seem to be major issues ongoing (like pics not appearing, etc).

I have missed seeing and reading about other MTBers adventures (both here and abroad).

Cheers

Very quick to bring up your quote,

and I agree edits are quick to post for some reason…..

3 seconds to bring up this edit, congratulations stw…….but to post the above took 14.88 seconds so where is the issue in the speed for some users?

Gonna sign my mum up for a free account tmorn using her email and see how long it takes to post

@Mark

Can we have the buttons back at the bottom of a thread that take you back to the main page please? It's a pain in the arse at the moment when viewing on my phone.

It point less them being at the top.

Or at least add overview to the drop down forum jump menu as it's greyed out at the moment.

I've even email tech@singlet...   with the info about WORDL and the classifieds issue. Nothing back and they still remain, so I wonder if the forum is just being left as it (shittily) is.. 🤔

I was expecting a spike in interaction when the share offer went live, maybe that is still occupying a lot of time?

You'd think, wouldn't you?

Rather than investing in shares, I'm considering cancelling my membership - in which case the ads will infuriate me that much, I'll stop coming altogether.

Which wouldn't be a bad thing, I could do with cutting back my social media screen time.

Possibly they have all been abducted by aliens and AI is now running the site...

So now the most add ridden data raping forum I've ever visited scrolls the forum main page all by itself.

Is this incase I might have somehow missed some of the super intrusive ads?

I know da management don't seem to comment on, act on (or read?) this thread anymore, but I'm mentioning this on the off chance they might.  There is a big delay again for me with thread replies or post edits appearing.  7 to 10 minutes it seems.  It's been this way for the last couple of days.

I know it's little help but the "delays" I'm experiencing are no more than a few seconds. I've not seen any change in weeks (months?)

Heads up. Ads on the site are about to change. Maybe today. We are switching to a new programmatic supplier called Sports Network. They are a UK based company that specialise in ads for sports related media websites. They are promising better ads and fewer ads that earn more because they are more suited to an active audience - We can all reserve judgemnet there. But there will be a new CMP (Consent managment popup) that will appear. One click on that and your preferences should be set for months. I beleive it also comes with a reject all option. It's the same company that supplies ads on road.cc, which is one reason we are making the move. We talk and share a lot of info with the people over there, which is nice.

Does it to me all the time, mostly when I'm mid writing a reply to something so you need to go scrolli (happened just then!!) ng all the way back up to the reply window.

Reported it loads of times before in this thread - still (happened again) happens every time I use the forum.

Possibly ad related. If an ad loads further up the page it will shift the page down and it will look like it's scrolling. The new ad system may well solve that.

I think the scrolling to the bottom of the page is related to the Wordl plugin, it's started doing it again since I completed a Wordl puzzle.

I also noticed it stopped doing it when the Wordl puzzle was giving an error instead of a puzzle (Monday morning?).

Hope that helps.

Weirdly can't remember it happening on my phone - I experience the problem on a Windows laptop with no Wordle app etc.

Still happening today @mark but I'd agree - it does seem to be when the ads update/refresh/appear I think. Just typed all this with no problems at all but then the ads have (weirdly!) not appeared down the sides of the page so maybe you're playing 😉

I've got the old ads off at the moment. I'm slowly introducing the new ones. Fingers crossed the new ones won't cause the issue.

I've been logged out on my PC and it won't let me log back in?

When I click on the little person icon on the top left it takes be to a page that says "Login" but doesn't do anything?

How am I supposed to log back in?

Edit. Tried to add a picture but that won't work either.
