I was hoping to use a 9 speed X9 front mech with my X0 gripshift before either getting a 10sp XX or X0 one when they come out.
I've just clamped on the X9 and found the L screw won't give me enough to move the cage anywhere near my 28 ring?
Can i sort this by replacing the L screw with a longer one to bridge the gap or forget the fudging and get the XX mech and have done with it!?

Sussed it! Swapped out the L screw for an XTR one which suprisingly is 2/3mm longer than the X9 one.
