I have some Rockshox Pikes (426 coil) that have just started to Squeek a little when compressed. Any idea's as to what causing this?
The Forks had sat for a few months before I got round to fixing a Motion control blowout, stripped them down and fixed that and changed the oil at the same time, although only managed to get a little into the bottom of the spring leg. Had 3-4 very wet muddy rides since then with no problem.
sounds like you've not put enough oil in ,can you just take the top cap of the spring leg and pour some in?
Yep, thats easy enough, will try a top up and see how that goes.
Right I topped up the coil leg and it seemed to help but on bigger hits I'm still getting a squeek. Anyone got any ideas; more oil, grease the spring, seals maybe?
