This review started with an e-mail chain with a Santa Cruz Bicycles employee about wheel size. He responded with (edited because this is a family website):

[i]Who freaking cares? I’d be more into you never mentioning the wheel size. Nobody seems to even care about the quality of the bike, its weight, handling, stiffness or suspension characteristics anymore. It’s only freaking wheel size.[/i]
