I finished my first complete bike build this afternoon and I’m buzzing with my new bike. I’ve been for a little ride and it needs a few tweaks but for the most part it’s done. I would like to thank anybody who’s answered my posts (usually within 10 mins!) because I would have been fu**ed without the advice I got from you lot, mistakes were made, lessons were learned and tears were shed. But I got there in the end thanks to the advice form the helpful strangers on here.
Cheers

Jim

Looks too clean, go get it dusty/muddy (depending where you are)

Not usually a fan of tan wall tyres, BUT, that does look nice. Good job, gives you a great feeling of satisfaction putting your own bike together. Enjoy it.

It's great feeling and well done on the build. You won't be fazed by nearly so much now, and have that warm glow from building yourself and knowing how it all fits together, the routing, the cable lengths - good work.

It looks ace. I would ride that.

But I'm struggling with perspective, is it really small with mad big risers? are you really upright on it?

Bike looks right...nice job. Personally, I don't like the handlebars, but I really like the whole thing.

@joshvegas I’m 47 and my wrist, elbow and neck are fuc#ed so I’m sitting upright on it. It’s for canal tow paths and general cruising about. It’s built for comfort not speed!

Super simple, super sweet looking bike, that'll be an absolute hoot, I'd have thought. You must be well chuffed with that!

Hope you enjoy riding it, I’m a fellow KM owner, mine is setup with 2x10 deore/slx/xt, barend shifters mounted on top like thumbshifters.
I bought the frame to go with some spare tyres i had lying around.
Great bikes. My bars would look ridiculously low compared to yours, they’re almost flat.

Nice bike, Now you've sorted that, you need to relay the floor to make sure the gaps are even.
