Doesn't look that hard at all, would of been easier for him if he'd gone faster too.

it is very steep and very rocky. and you get pinballed about.
and at 8 seconds in there is a huge boulder that you have to squeeze past without catching pedal or fork leg.

Nope, I would try to mince down it then end up dabbing at every available opportunity. I'm crap with steep bumpy/rocky stuff.

yeah, that looks easy, it maybe difficult to stay on the bike, but no rocks to land on, it's all nice soft landings, so no real challenge.

Love it.

Would be better on a ridged singlepeed cross. 😉

really don't wanna rise to the bait in this futile pissing contest... but although the guy in the clip makes a meal of it... surely it's a lot steeper than that in real life or something?

From that angle it looks no worse than the bridleway down the Dipton Gorge near Hexham, albeit with a stream running down it.
Which I can ride. I'd give it a go certainly. Where is it?

Wet rock is grippy. You need to try wet sheet chalk if you think that is hard. Easy.

Nothing looks the same on video as it does when you're in it, daft to judge based on what you can see on a screen. Seen that gully on other vids, I reckon I'd give it a go but I'd not be surprised at all to fail it.

dont think its that easy as everyone suggests but it is doable. Think i'd go faster though.

My only question whilst i watched that was

' why would i want to ride that anyway!'

P.s. he never really reached the end anyway 😉

Deathstar in Peaslake is harder than that 😕 I've seen them ride harder things than that. Confused. Unless its harder than it looks on vid?

The rider carrying his bike back up is an indication that it's steeper than it looks.

Still looks do-able though

Video does tend to flatten things it's fair to say, but it doesn't look that bad......

But then people ride different things. Gnarly to one is flat to another. It's nice to see people giving stuff a bash and getting excited about clearing it.

Thats my thoughts too. Fort William video looked flat and pedally to me, WC riders thought the same about La Bresse.
It looks doable to me and i'd love to have a go. wouldn't get past that rock first time but yeah count me in.
definitely good to see someone get excited about clearing something too, not trying to act all cool.

An Orange "low BB, slack HA" Blood infact, perfect for that sort of riding.
Looking behind the ladder gives an idea of how steep it is. Still relatively easy tho, when I say easy, I mean no real Jedi skills required, just balls and point and shoot, whilst negotiating a few rocks.
I dare say I'd fall off quite a bit, but happily have a go. Grid Ref??

As posted on another thread by Richyb. This vid actually does show how steep this particular descent is!

Reminds me of a bit of singletrack in Mugdock. Buggered if I know if it has a name but you start at the Drumclog moor car park. Follow the footpath into the park then veer off to the right on some single track just before the footpath descends, follow it into the trees then you find the trail that's like that video. Rocky, rooty, wet, narrow, fantastic.
