easy, whats the ladder for? is it ewok land?
yep. defo
Doesn't look that hard at all, would of been easier for him if he'd gone faster too.
yer agree with that.just hammer that one.
not exactly hard......
it is very steep and very rocky. and you get pinballed about.
and at 8 seconds in there is a huge boulder that you have to squeeze past without catching pedal or fork leg.
Nope, I would try to mince down it then end up dabbing at every available opportunity. I'm crap with steep bumpy/rocky stuff.
yeah, that looks easy, it maybe difficult to stay on the bike, but no rocks to land on, it's all nice soft landings, so no real challenge.
it's like a mini Auchendrain....after some really dry weather... -)
"****in avit ya ba****d"
Love it.
Would be better on a ridged singlepeed cross. 😉
really don't wanna rise to the bait in this futile pissing contest... but although the guy in the clip makes a meal of it... surely it's a lot steeper than that in real life or something?
WHAT is the ladder for?
typical Scottish trail.
it is very steep guys....and the guy in the clip is a very good rider.
i think a lot of you are kidding yourselfs......apart from jedi.... 😉
but what is the ladder for?

🙄 nope
proof??? clip maybe??
From that angle it looks no worse than the bridleway down the Dipton Gorge near Hexham, albeit with a stream running down it.
Which I can ride. I'd give it a go certainly. Where is it?
hebden bridge
Wet rock is grippy. You need to try wet sheet chalk if you think that is hard. Easy.
Nothing looks the same on video as it does when you're in it, daft to judge based on what you can see on a screen. Seen that gully on other vids, I reckon I'd give it a go but I'd not be surprised at all to fail it.
Id give it a go! But major props to the rider he was on the case! Yeaaaaah Boi!
dont think its that easy as everyone suggests but it is doable. Think i'd go faster though.
My only question whilst i watched that was
' why would i want to ride that anyway!'
P.s. he never really reached the end anyway 😉
LOL surprised you ask such a question.
Whats the Strange Red Orange bike your friend rides?
Deathstar in Peaslake is harder than that 😕 I've seen them ride harder things than that. Confused. Unless its harder than it looks on vid?
The rider carrying his bike back up is an indication that it's steeper than it looks.
Still looks do-able though
Yeah looks lovely!

but what is the ladder for?
There's a ladder on a tree at th end. What's it for?
Thats the campest sky punch I have ever seen at 19 secs 😀
do you know what camera that was filmed with ?

oh, . . . and i'd just ride down the side on the grass, looks easier!
That big rock
perhaps it is more awkward as Ton said!
Video does tend to flatten things it's fair to say, but it doesn't look that bad......
But then people ride different things. Gnarly to one is flat to another. It's nice to see people giving stuff a bash and getting excited about clearing it.
My mum could ride that on a tourer with basket fitted!!
looks very steep, very slippy and pretty hairy. fair play to the guy that cleared it.

Thats my thoughts too. Fort William video looked flat and pedally to me, WC riders thought the same about La Bresse.
It looks doable to me and i'd love to have a go. wouldn't get past that rock first time but yeah count me in.
definitely good to see someone get excited about clearing something too, not trying to act all cool.
this clip shows the main obsticle.
he's riding an orange, problem solved!! 😉
An Orange "low BB, slack HA" Blood infact, perfect for that sort of riding.
Looking behind the ladder gives an idea of how steep it is. Still relatively easy tho, when I say easy, I mean no real Jedi skills required, just balls and point and shoot, whilst negotiating a few rocks.
I dare say I'd fall off quite a bit, but happily have a go. Grid Ref??
from the same fella, made me chuckle!
😆 all those shagmiester vids make me laugh. I bet riding with you guys is fun.
"all those shagmiester vids make me laugh"
I love that almost every video has the cameraman going "Yallright?" at least once
Don't listen to these no-cocks, that looks awesome and your mate had a good crack at it.

YEAH! Us with-cocks but with no-pussy's agree. Yeah Team America
Film flattens everything, but it doesn't look that tough.....but he is wearing pads....
I know. The amount of times Ive shown non-bikers something and they don't look convinced and think its just a gravel path..
Yup, the video I did of McMoab looks about as challenging as riding round a car park 😐 Gutted!
Recon it could be ridden in a shopping trolley
You guys are Kick Ass of MTB 🙁
looks easy enough, but knowing what film does to the steep droppy down bit at the end of mcmoab, i have to take my hat off to the bloke
As posted on another thread by Richyb. This vid actually does show how steep this particular descent is!
Reminds me of a bit of singletrack in Mugdock. Buggered if I know if it has a name but you start at the Drumclog moor car park. Follow the footpath into the park then veer off to the right on some single track just before the footpath descends, follow it into the trees then you find the trail that's like that video. Rocky, rooty, wet, narrow, fantastic.
