Can you help out a fellow rider?

Jonathan is a great guy and great coach and has a one year old daughter.

In August 2024 Jonathan had a Derotational Femoral Osteotomy Operation. Which has never actually fully healed properly. And leaving him Semi Permanently Disabled. (Unknown long term damage).

There is a couple of hypothesis why it has never knitted back together.
After his 6 week check up at the hospital, his bottom screw wasn't in the hole it was supposed to be threaded too.
Instead it was dangling/grinding between the bottom of his Femur the top of his knee cap for well over 6 weeks.

He's also found out that his Femural Nail (Rod) is a size 10 and It is too small and needs replacing for a size 11 or 12.

We believe that these two combinations have stopped the leg from healing properly.

Last week Jonathan unfortunately bent his Titanium Femeral Nail (Rod) which has left him unable to walk, stand/sit shower, cook, drive ect... He's very scared, anxious and confused.

He's also completely bedridden in Hospital. And the Hospital wants to take the bed off him and give it to someone else who's also in need.

This is down to the Junior Doctors Strikes and other complications (hospital politics) they're not sure when is completely possible to operate on him, it could be well over 2 weeks. Which isn't ideal for someone who can't even sit on a toilet or get out of bed without carers.

The current NHS Hospital is wanting Jonathan to go home until there's is another bed. (Could be weeks)

So, we are looking at the other possible options is to get Jonathan some Private Care or even the Full Operation he desperately needs.

Any donations would be a great help to getting Jonathan pain free and able n stable enough to play with his one year old daughter on the floor again.

August 2024? Poor guy must have had a terrible last year. Have donated something but you might want to highlight it's his knee, and what that means, as the medical terminology is a bit dense.

He must be gutted. IIRC, that's an elective where the femur (upper leg bone) is cut-twisted-rejoined to correct a wonky leg?

Assuming this was done by the NHS, then he should be screaming to get it redone asap. PALS involved? They can't discharge him to home if he absolutely cannot cope there.
