I'm after some "baggy" MTB shorts for summer, but would prefer slim.fitbas opposed to baggy, must be thin / vented for the hottest of days.
MTB or gravel shorts I guess.
Must be black or dark grey at a push.
I'd prefer not to remortgage to purchase them.

What's my options?

Ta

I have some Endura Hummvee light which are thin and slim fitting.

Also just got some Rapha Trail thin & light, reduced from Sport pursuit, but not used them yet

I just got a pair of these at the start of the week for the summer, very light and more ‘fitted’ than my usual Humvees and just €29.99, I am happy with them but no actually used them yet. They are light grey/black rear but no vents.

Please tell me they look better than the photos on https://road.cc/content/review/endura-hummvee-lite-short-276055 review of them?

Sweet Protection Hunter are excellent - wanted exactly the same as the Op, baggy but not too baggy, slim, lightweight but proper MTBing shorts.

My to go for XC riding, when I'm not wearing pads etc. Phone pocket, built in belt, black,, weigh nothing, feel really strong. Love em.

Loads on sale all over the Internet.

Altura Eskar Trail shorts are lovely and light. Fairly skinny fit but still long in the leg so work well for me being lanky and not overly rotund. Even have belt loops as cherry on the cake. Pockets are pish though.

£26 here, black, in S, M and XL: https://www.wheelbase.co.uk/product/altura/altura-esker-trail-shorts/
