the wheels I currently use have given up the ghost so Im after a new set. Not riding the mtb that much at the moment so reluctant to go for something too swish. Been looking at some of the Merlin factory built wheels (seen the mavic crossone)....but not sure of the quality.
Anyone got any other good recommendation for mid priced factory wheels.
9 speed rear and bolt through front by the way.
Hope Hoops are usually recommended, with whichever rim you fancy - mainly due to the price/quality/weight ratio and that their hubs can pretty much convert to every 'standard'.
I'd be buying used personally, there's tons of people trying to offload 26 inch wheels just now, often in really nice nick as they're sidegrading off to 650b rather than selling on hammered old crap.
But if in doubt, Hope Hoops- hard to say more without a budget.
