I've got a set of 2008 Reba Air U-Turns and I am sure there are simple answers/solutions to the following:

1) - I have started to notice some oily residue on/around the u-turn adjuster side of the crown. Is it because I generally store my bike upside down? If so, presumaby I should stop doing this? Or is there a problem with the fork?

2) The user manual recommends oiling the legs and foam rings every 10 hours. How the hell do I do this? I have downloaded some guides from sram, but that is for a full strip down and re-build. Surely I don't have to do that every 10 hours or riding??

Thanks in advance and sorry for another 'how do I' type thread...... 😕

1) Why store it upside down anyway? The're not much oil in the left leg so you need to keep it in there. I doubt it'll leak with the bike the right way up, but it's only an O ring if it does

2) You can gently peel the top of the dust seal back abd drip some oil in if you like (Use a wooden implement ot you risk scrathcing the stanchions) but RS forks are pretty tough and usually only need a yearly service to keep them in good nick

It was me, yes.
My website died when AOL closed their free hosting service and I've not got them online at the minute.
If you email me I can send them to you, but it's not strictly a service guide (modification more like), although some aspects of that are covered.....

I store the bike upside down as I transport it with both wheels off in the back of my car. It's a pfaff having to put the back wheel on just to store it upright in the shed, then remove it to put it back in the car.

I might permanently set my workstand up in the shed though and stick it in there - or get some hooks set up to stick it on the wall.

I might try sticking a ziptie between the stanchion and seal and trickling some oil down past the seal that way.

PeterPoddy - e-mail sent regarding this guide of yours. Ta.
