So the XT (which is where I would put my money) is £3800 full bike by conversion.

In reality though thats got to be knocking on the door of £5k.... 😯

I think I read the pricing will cost the same as the current SB66C in the UK. Well the frame at least. The SB95C is nice but the ARC C is the looker. Must. Have. One.

I am reliably informed by pussywillow and bwaaaaaaarppppp that 29ers are crap.

In the meantime, that looks nice, especially the trails in the video.

Can you get a decent sized rear tyre in there?

That's gopping, and I quite like the alu one. It's just too skinny and 'organic' looking.

Errr- it's a bike. Is it really worth that much excitement? Honestly? A bike you haven't even ridden...

I think I might have finally found the bike I need to tame those vicious bermed corners.

bizarre thing to say, can you only be excited by a bike that you've ridden?

i've been known to get excited when a new super car comes out, i've never driven one...

Do you feel the same when you look at pictures of pretty women (or perhaps men)?

I can't get used to the look of carbon - aluminium is always prettier.

That's sick, I'd never degrade a bike in that way.

This and the bronson and several others are just leaving me a bit limp*, no doubt they are nice bikes but the mind bending prices just puts em into the realms of fantasy instead of being aspirational.

*hey I didn't start the sexual mettyfers

The marketing photographers seem to have won over a few people here. That is all.

I think that it is great that we are all different because that bike does absolutely nothing for me and as such I am sure that the bikes I like would do nothing for others.

Hasty edit?

I realised the post might've come across as unneccessarily harsh and didn't really add anything of value so I thought I might change it into a comment about the actual subject of the thread for a change. 🙂

If you want me to keep going into why your response to a potential sexual partner and a piece of plastic SHOULD be different from each other, just give the word.

Hey - for some us those two things might not be so different!

My top tube is one of two things that's come in contact with my crotch for quite a while, so I guess I'm really not the one to argue against you there.

My frame is steel though so it's quite tough love.

Aaaaaargh! I was saving for a SB95 and now this comes out...

Thing is, if I go for the SB95c I will have to think like a weight weenie. No point in saving 2lb off the frame only to buy cheap, heavy components to put on it. Increases potential final cost exponentially!
Might have to stick to the SB95 and get it in turquoise and choose lightish/durable components. And lose a stone or two of bodyweight. And get fitter.
