We're having a long riding weekend, planning on doing several trail centres, so thought Betws Y Coed is a good central place to stay.
Even though I know it well, A nice eating place ( for eveing meal) and a decent B&B is needed. Normally we camp, or just go for the day.

Just out of town and over the bridge. Top food.
I stayed at the tygwyn hotel, if you go there avoid the front 1st floor rooms as they are awful and noisy
Food was just OK I thought, I like that cafe thats on the corner of the road down to Penmachno though.
I recommend Mount Garmon View Guesthouse
Glan Aber Hotel for food and B & B, they also have a big lock up for bike storage, stayed with them loads of times
