no...

this won't change your mind though.... you'll still buy them, decide they are not for you, sell them on the classifieds, then slag them off on this forum....

thats the normal process isn't it? 😉

Depends. If they failed then yes I would slag them off. If they really are open bath/simple air preload then no.

Got the RLO 2010 model for my mate. If You go for 120mm travel, than You can up it to 140, 100 goes to 120 by swapping a spacer. They are over 2kg, so not the lightest, but have the new "old" technology that Marzocchi was using, so again open bath damping, plus there is a coil spring and air spring for preload. They still work after couple of outings and my mate is very happy with his. 3 year warranty is nice to have as well. Wide range of adjustments, nothing like 3/4 of a turn for rebound. Easy to set up and feels very solid. I saw them on sale on Merlin and for that price I would have a think about it as I think they might be a bit tougher than Recons, and You can up the travel to 140. Having simple internals they should be problem free. Another good thing is that the black uppers coating is very tough. Simple solo air spring never caused me any problems on my XC500 and my mates 44 holds air well. Doppio air is what You don't want to have. 😉

If it wouldn't be for the weight it's a solid and good working fork. I think 2010 models would be safe to buy if You stick to the simple models without fancy systems. This one is not much different inside from a MX Pro Lo and I don't remember reading anything bad about them. It was always xc700, 55's etc 😉

Had a look at a pair. Christ they are low-rent in every way.
