After getting fed up with cables vibrating in front of my light I ordered a KCNC smart mount, allows the light to be mounted centrally and above the cables.
Fitted today, really nice solution.

Can you take that off easily when you don't need it? And can you swivel it forward instead of having it vertical?

Cheexpleez - one bolt to remove and it can be mounted at any angle.

That's one way of doing it.
I cut the straps off the helmet mount & zip tied it to the front of the stem.
