Having built up my Scandal as a SS it is pretty light but it does feel a bit front heavy with the Fox F29 100mm forks up front. I happen th have a Lefty Max 140mm fork on another bike and am toying with the idea of converting it to a 100-110mm 29er. I think I can upgrade the internals to an air rather than spring and Project 321 sell suitable fork mounts. Has anyone tried this with any degree of success? What I want is a light, quick SS 29er, will I end up with a horrible mutant bike?
