I love reading a lot of strong, funny and often misguided opinions on here… it makes me think that some people must be riding gods the way they put themselves across. So, just how good are you on a bike? Are you a keyboard warrior or a trail slayer?
I’ve done this very quickly but let’s base it on UK riding, say a mix of the Peak District and trail centres (to make life easy!). All in the name of good fun 🙂

Mark yourself out of 100
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––
DH speed – 0 / 20
Climbing ability – 0 /20
Fitness – 0 /20
Cross country speed – 0 / 20
Technical ability – 0 / 20

Total score (out of 100)
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––
0 / 100

Rate yourself relative to what you want to be or against people you ride with/against, or against strava?

What is 20 here, elite/pro level? Best in world? Best normal everyday dude? Because compared to the best in the world I award myself a full set of 4s.

4/20... So 80% of riders are better than you Northwind? I'll quote you on that 😉

If I have never ridden the Peak District does that mean I can only score a max of 10/20 in all catagories?

Does this prove you are a keyboard warrior over egging your ability 😉

Yes Jecca – just a bit of light-hearted fun. I'll downgrade myself to 55 / 100 🙂

Assuming 20 is the worlds best in each area...

DH speed – 11 / 20
Climbing ability – 13 /20
Fitness – 12 /20
Cross country speed – 12 / 20
Technical ability – 10 / 20

Total score (out of 100)
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––
59 / 100

Score as a keyboard warrior too and then we can see if we score higher as one or the other?

Missing the point 0/20
Arguing with one person over 3 pages of a thread 0/20
Photoshop skills 0/20
Ignoring sound advice 0/20
Trolling 0/20
-------------------------
Total 0/100

Shouldn't there be points awarded for style? (and fashion too?)

I did this quickly and with fun in mind. I'd say base the score on your local riding peers – not the pros.

Nae numbers.

Just ride all day and enjoy getting myself mucky.

But probably zero for anything involving skill, heroics, and aerobatics.

what a futile excercise. I prefer XC over dh tech stuff, sometimes I mince down a dh bit putting a foot down or getting off and running down and other days I am more confident and ride them.

I enjoy riding and tinkering with mountain bikes.

It gives me a lot of pleasure and as a bonus keeps me fit and healthy.

I don't really think about it any more than that. 😆

I ride with GW sometimes, now obviously I'm not as good as him so I'll say 95/100.

definitely 100/100 here, as I have a carbon enduro bike, matching enduro kit, have been on 3 skills courses, ride nearly once a week and have an audi.

Hard to compare myself as I ride mainly by myself. I'll give my self 50% on the bike and 0% as a keyboard warrior as my few post on here are pretty inane.

This works- I beat Guy Martin, Crawfy, Andy Barlow and Lewis Buchanan at racing so they're all 3.9 or less. And Chipps, I'm giving him a 3. We can calibrate everyone who's ever raced from this I reckon.

Getting much better at racking miles up, can do 20 miles easy on my Moonlander, I can climb pretty well now but I always chicken out on the downhills! I know 20 miles isn't much to most. Done a 40 mile ride a few weeks ago, doing an 80 in a few weeks. I'm trying to get to the point where I can go anywhere, as far as I want, where my body is not the limit. Be pretty cool. And so much power to have.
