Which obviously got us to thinking: what about a mountain bike set?
Which then obviously got us to thinking: what mountain bike should it be?
Specialized Stumpjumper? Orange Five? GT Zaskar? Pace RC100? Mondraker Summum? Cannondale Fulcrum? Honda RN-01? Dare we say, Amflow?
Anyway, here’s the press release:
Going The Extra Mile: The LEGO Group reveals new LEGO® Icons Road Bike set
6th May 2026: London, England - Today, the LEGO Group reveals the LEGO Icons Road Bike set; the perfect set to get any cycling enthusiast’s gears turning, as the excitement of the summer sporting season builds around the world.

This model bike, the first for a LEGO Icons set, offers an immersive building experience that recreates the precision engineering of a modern road bike, combining mechanical realism with the satisfaction of hands-on construction.
Get immersed in a creative project as you recreate a detailed road bike replica, made completely with LEGO elements. Features include smooth front-wheel steering, and a working pedal-and-chain drive with a one-way gear mechanism for coasting and free back-pedalling. Meticulously detailed, the model also features elements including derailleurs, brake callipers, clipless pedals and a silver-coloured drive chain.
The set also includes a removable water bottle and rear light, thoughtfully created with LEGO elements, that help bring the model to life. A rear wheel-lift stand allows the wheel to spin freely when the pedals are turned, letting builders showcase the working drivetrain made entirely of LEGO bricks.
Designed with display in mind, the LEGO Icons Road Bike offers a stylish piece of sports-inspired décor that celebrates the world of cycling. Combining intricate detailing with the creativity of LEGO building, the model pays tribute to the performance and design of the modern road bike.
The LEGO Icons Road Bike is available to pre-order from 5th May 2026 and is available to purchase from 1st June 2026 for LEGO Insiders at www.lego.com/product/road-bike-11380 and LEGO Stores, priced at £109.99.

They’d never be able to agree on the wheel size…
I can imagine the Lego Committee having an endless argument about 26 (retro innit), 27.5, 27.5+, 29 and 32 and that’s before you even factor in mullet bikes.
Oh I’m sure Lego could engineer a 262927.5 inch rim diameter. Possibly with a 24in option 🙂
The issue would really be the tyre profile 🙂Â
