I have a 2008 Cotic Soul and just recently added a 2009 Yeti 575. Love the cotic and can't see myself ever parting with it. The Yeti blows me away with how much fun it is to ride full suss as this is the first I have owned. Everything is awesome when I ride these older bikes.
Are they even old yet?
i have a Da Bomb Da Pukka frame from 2008. the atomlab wheels on the bike are even older (2003ish). rest of the parts have been upgraded in the last 12 months.
my commuter is a 2014 Saracen Studio 74
up until last year i had a Haro DHR that was a 2002 frame with parts from around 2003 - 2005 and was running perfectly
nowt wrong with a bit of retro!! ๐
I ride a cove stiffee, I think it's from 2006, still love it! Full suss is newer, 2012 mega.

i have a Da Bomb Da Pukka frame from 2008
Do you not get some strange feeling of rage building up inside you when you look at the a.) the name of the company and b.) the name of the frame?
I have a Commencal Meta SX 2013 and a GT Agressor, no idea how old the Aggressor is
My mountain bike is a 2007 Orange P7, summer roadie is a 2012 Orbea, winter a 2013 Planet-X. Newest bike is my Kona MinUte shopping bike, another 2013 vintage.
The bike I use most - frame is from 2000. All parts apart from cassette and chain are still running from 2008. Oh, and the wheels - it's on its second set since '08 (bloody rim brakes).
Turner 6 pack 2005 frame and forks still serving as my number one bike although both shocks are tuned to buggery. Think my pace 305 is 2006. Wife is still loving her 2006 stumpy fsr. However, only the frame, front mechanism and rear mechanism are original.
Even if we did want new bikes, no idea at all what we'd replace them with.
Last of the Blur LTc's just over 12 months old, I'll get 2/3 more years out of it. Then I'll get something new and shiney, I might even get something new and shiney before then.
Been riding 3.5 years.

'09 Anthem X
'08 Wilier
'96 Thorn

The Marin gets ridden every day, how it hasn't disintegrated into a pile of rusted junk is an enduring mystery.

A ten year old Orange Evo 4,a proper triggers broom of a bike, now reduced to shopping and towing my laal fella.
A four year old Orange P7 & the one I ride the most is my 2 year old Kinesis cx.
I'm on the look out for 1 1/8 steerer rigid forks for the older of the two mtbs..... ๐
1979 Claud Butler Panache. It's a lovely steel deathtrap with hopeless brakes and friction down tube shifters. Do I win a prize?
(I also ride other newer bikes from time to time)
In order of how much they get ridden:
1) On One Pomepetamine, parts are anything from 1-4 years old, commuter.
2) 1993 Cinder Cone, kiddie hauler, pub bike.
3) 2011 ASR5, oldest part are the wheels (2009), newest is fork (2013). MTB
4) 2008 Storck Scenario. Race bike which sadly sees almost no use these days.
Depends...My oldest bike in service is a 2009 Wolf Ridge, but every single component aside from the frame itself has been changed. The front hub is a Hope Bulb dating back to 2005 though.
Do you not get some strange feeling of rage building up inside you when you look at the a.) the name of the company and b.) the name of the frame?
i'm always angry...so it only add fuel to the fire!! ๐
Synapse; a couple of years
Spectral; a couple of months
2011 Genesis Core, but new wheels & forks last year (out of shiny bits lust rather than necessity).
'97 Kona Lavadome, now on commuting duties.
On One Pompetamine, frame bought 2nd-hand but unused almost a year ago.
Evil Sovereign Mk2, built up in Jan. 2012 around the time they were discontinued.
I still ride my 2003 Titus Locomoto, it is on the car ready for a ride tonight. Original Headset (King), Seatpost (Thomson), Cranks (XT), Shifters and derailleurs (XTR), Brakes (Mono Mini) and wheelset (DT 4.1, Revoution and King). I would say I have had my moneys worth out of it.
2007 for road bike
2010 for commuter
2013 for MTB (replaced a 2006 Giant XTC and I'd hope to get at least the same out of it)
In order of use
2005 ish Inbred, commuter with racks/guards. Everyday use and abuse.
2008 ish Ti456, one and only mtb. Not seeing much action.
2014 Salsa Vaya thingy. Assembled a few months ago. Barely ridden it
1996 Bontrager, but its really just a frame awaiting paint/assemblage
Thats the most bikes i've ever owned
Until last night all three bike had knackered back wheels. Luckily i had one working bike by this morning though. Needed it too as some poor sod jumped under a train so my ride in was extended today.
2008 Giant Trance ( only frame and crank arms from original spec ), does anything from 25 to 50 miles a week and pretty much has done since new.
1997 Gt Palomar , pub and shopping hack.
1996 Steel Rockhopper, well, actually not rideable right now, not sure if to sell or rebuild into a third reincarnation, maybe as a tourer / commuter.
2001ish Santa Cruz Chameleon with mix of parts from then onwards. have some 97 Z1 bams to go on it too
2011 Titus El Guapo full sus mtb with 2013 forks & new 2014 drivetrain
2012 Nukeproof Scalp dh - with new 2014 drivetrain
2013 Salsa Vaya commuter/road/cx
2014 Salsa El Mariachi bikepacking/adventure/explore bike
still have as much fun on the 12 year old chameleon as any of the other newer bikes although a works components head angle reducer headset would be nice
1996 Trek 1400 road bike.
2001 steel Rockhopper - tourer/shopper/commuter.
2004 Mongoose Expert BMX.
2006 Rock Lobster 853.
