Morning, so yesterday I switched my rear wheel with a Hope Pro4 hub, freehub and XT 11 speed cassette from a QR frame to a bolt through frame. The hub/freehub was spinning perfectly on the QR setup.
All I did was pull off the NDS end cap, and replace QR for bolt through. Then I removed the cassette lockring, left the cassette in place, pulled off the QR end cap and plugged in the bolt through silver end cap, refitted the lockring.
Fitted to frame and spins fine when pedalling, but heavily drags on freewheel / backpedaling once the axle is torqued up. It spins fine both ways when not torqued.
I've then carefully removed the cassette - all bearings are v smooth. There is the barrel spacer in place between freehub and hub bearing (c.1mm washer). The freehub long spacer is in place. The green plastic freehub seal is in place and not appearing to snag. Any clues?
FWIW, my previous wheel on the bolt through frame, an American Classic hub spins perfectly, no probs.
