I am doing the fred whitton and I am going to do it over two days this weekend. Can some one please point me in the right direction of where i can draw the route on a website and upload it on to the 705.

I have memory map and it is not talking to the garmin unit, so what are my alternatives. Www.bikely.com seems to be not working at the moment,

any suggestions greatly appreciate as i am off tomorrow!

many thanks

google gpx2crs

you can export the route from MM as a gpx, use the (free) coversion software to convert it to .crs

you can then import this into trainingcentre and upload from there as a course (works on my 205 at least)

pretty sure all the garmins can use .crs files though

bikeroutetoaster works really well for planning road routes and will create a garmin crs file for uploading.

Just playing around with the bikehike one, when I stick a route on my 705 as a gpx and do 'navigate' it reroutes it all via the roads, can I not just it just to navigate to my defined points?

Use "Mapmyride" and then use their website to send it to the 705 as a Course ( .crs file ). Then go to training on GPS and follow course. Works really well.
