I use Garmin Connect to store info’ from my Edge Explore 2.

Recently I’ve been receiving an email, from Komoot, to congratulate me on my most recent ride! The info’ they use is clearly coming from Garmin Connect.

i haven’t changed any settings in Garmin, so does anyone know how I break this link?

Check your Garmin App Connections and see what is getting the Garmin info automatically? Then check those apps and see if you've linked Komoot to any of those (and also Garmin). If so, just disconnect the connection.

If you've got a web browser up, go to your Connect profile icon & select 'Settings' then it's in the account information section under connected apps (you can share activities &/or courses).

Thanks Fellas - found it and disconnected.

I'm not sure why I allowed it in the first place, or why it bothered me enough to disconnect, but it's done now.

Thanks again :o)

Sharing courses can be useful as, if you want to, you can use Komoot to plan a route and it'll show up as a course in Connect.

The Connect-Komoot link can be configured to work in either or both directions. I use Komoot for much of my planning and send the routes to Connect but I've no need for my completed activities to be sent from Connect to Komoot.
