Hold bag 20kg
Hold and sports 20+12 kg
Sports only 32kg

If there is more than one traveling they will combine the weight.

Thanks Russ you seem to bo ontop of this.

Say I get the majority of my gear in my hand luggage and want to take my bike (in Box) Do I have to pay for Hold + Sports or just sports on it own? Its a DH bike so expecting to be well over 12kg.

Bikes are separate from sports kit. Book yourself hold luggage for your kit and a bike if you're taking one.

Bag can be up to 20kg, bike upto 32kg. However, together, no more than 50kg.

Bikes are exempt from excess baggage fees on easyjet, so don't stress too much. Be careful of the dimensions of your bike box - some airport scanners are on the small side and you may have to be escorted to the freight X-ray!

http://www.easyjet.com/EN/Planning/baggage

I've just went through a booking and bikes come under sports.

You have to watch as if your traveling with someone you have to book seperatly to get the full 32kg each

I fly with a board bag only and never book hand baggage and have never had a problem.

There has always been an additional note in a different section to confirm what wallop says as being correct. This has been the interpretation for several years now (since 2007) and was the same when I used last went with them in november.
However I can no longer find the note in the terms of carriage to support this so it might be worth a call to check with them.

As others have said,
Bike bag/box = 32kg
Hold baggage = 20kg
Bike and hold baggage must not exceed 50kg

Hand baggage = 5kg
I always carry my helmet as hand baggage, never hand a problem.

Just flew with them. Bikes were ok up to 32kg. They didn't check what was in bag - so you can out kit in there too.

28 bikes on our flight. 😯 😯 😯

Good to know. Will they question me if I board with my full face helmet and my carry on rucksack.
