What's the best way to do it? Fine bladed hack saw?

Outside! Seriously, as you cut it the carbon disintegrates into these tiny little bits that will completely screw your lungs. Be careful! Oh, and btw, I did mine with a regular hacksaw....

Someone will be along in a bit to tell you that if you do, you'll destroy the World or something..

I think there might be some sort of risk from the resin compound used in it's production, it may well be quite harmful if ingested. I'd say wearing a fine-particulate mask is a good idea...

don't get any splinters in ya, they'll burrow in and eventually get to your heart, killing you dead!

Or so I've heard... on the interweb somewhere 😆

Another way to do it to minimise dust is to cut it under a running bathroom sink tap. Some people use tape to stop the outer fibres fraying but I always score with a sharp blade before making the hacksaw cut.
remember, measure six times. Cut once!

Scoring with a sharp blade is a good idea. Thanks for the advice with the carbon splinters/dust, I'll use a mask. I'm sure the particles will not be able to penetrate the thick layer of soot accumulated in my lungs from the london traffic.
