Did a tubeless set up for my mate at the weekend.
Tyres both Conti x-king folding. Front 2.4", rear 2.2". For a rigid 29'er ss build.
Front all good mounted to an XT UST tubeless rim. Rear was ok, mounted to a Crossride rim, but when he was out on Saturday the sidewall split cycling along a footpath.
Are these a tad fragile?
Thanks.

Protection black chilli is what you need. The regular model sidewalls are a bit like... paper..

Id suggest 2.4 out back, the 2.2 isnt a high volume tire.
Plenty durable in protection casing even down to low pressures.

Ah well.
At £10 a pop (no pun...) from px, so be it.
They are certainly light, and the bike only for gentle stuff, but I'll get something a bit more robust.
