What's involved on changing a fork on a tricross? I've never really fettled with road forks so don't know the score - Easy job?

I think the bike must have an integrated headset of some description, does this mean you can just knock the old fork out and pop the new one in, some star fangled nut jiggery pokery and that's it?

same as on an MTB also need to swap the crownrace over.

Make sure you get a proper cross fork though - a normal road one will be way to short and steep.

exactly what wwaswas said - identical to MTB. And as mentioned, make sure you replace with a long enough fork otherwise it will be horrible to ride!

Thanks.

What are the parameters of a proper cross fork? I've got a kinesis DC19 as I'm after a front disk. It's marketed as a cross / touring fork so I'm hoping it will handle OK. Rake of 43 going on a 56cm frame - does that sound reasonable? The bike is mainly used for commuting and family stuff, with the occasional trail centre excursion.

Looks fine.
Alloy steerer also so a simple swap.
Might be a LBS trip to swap the crown races simply.
