Currently using a tensioner to run a single speed setup and it's a bit annoying. No space to use a bb mounted one either.
The only SS specific frames I can find are more relaxed geometry / more touring style, and heavy steel frames. I'd like a more XC style frame.
I can't think of one. Someone once said that carbon doesn't work well with SS because of more twisting forces when out of the saddle in the 'wrong' gear or something, no idea how accurate that is.
What tensioner are you using? I use Alfine ones with two jockey wheels on mine and they are brilliant, the single jockey wheels ones can be a pain.
For light ss-specific frames you are probably going to have to look at titanium

If you like the frame you’ve got (apart from its single speed ability) get a white industries eno hub or trickstuff bb?
Niner Air 9 isn’t carbon anymore but might still fit that need? Salsa Timberjack Ti?
I’m still riding* the old santa cruz highball al which might fit the bill if you can find one second hand. When I rode ss a lot more I lusted after the pivot les but that’s back to normal dropouts unless you can find an old one.
*well, it’s in the shed and not entirely rideable right now but that’s more down to a matter of spare time
Any carbon frame with a BB30 or PF30 BB can be run SS with a Wheels MFG EBB.
I realise it’s not carbon but a Sonder Broken Road would fit all your other criteria

Edit: if you are just after a lighter-weight SS frame, looking to titanium will give you loads of options.

I'd be wary of any method of tensioning that doesn't include something to physically block slippage, like a dropout tension bolt/set screw. Back in my peak singlespeed days I had several EBBs, they slipped, either a lot or gradually over time. Also rode with someone who had a Tranny, same issue. There's nothing to stop those stays working forward except friction.

Never had my EBB slip on my old Stooge but then that had 2 biggish bolts holding it in place, screwed through the bottom of the bb shell.
Yea my Stooge EBB was problem free too, although I suspect carbon frames never have that design
Yep, same design as my old Singulars then. Tight fit, never creaked. Didn't matter if it was rusty/almost seized, grip paste, bolts so tight the shell was starting to deform. Still moved. Had several bikes after that with Paragon/Kona sliding dropouts, problem solved.
