Has anyone got any recommendations for riding around Brechfa forest? Rode the Gorlech trail today, but would like to fine some more off piste style trails? I've done some Strava stalking and found a couple of areas to check out but any suggestions for routes much appreciated!
I had planned to ride the Raven trail, but that looks to be mainly closed at the moment
I was going to post a thread about Brechfa as I'm over that way in a few weeks with the family, wondering what bits were open and such...trying to decide if it's worth the faff of taking a bike as we will have 2 kids, a dog, and all the associated stuff...
Most of the red is open, the only closed bit is the first singletrack climb, you do the whole climb on a fire road. Looking at the map, most of the black is closed so we haven't bothered.
Did some off piste exploring today, some fun trails, very steep and rooty - exciting in the wet!
There's a lot of 'off piste' riding around there now, but it is a big area and a lot of the stuff is tucked away and not on Strava. The locals have a Facebook group if you are on there, best to join one of their rides.
